What are the best affordable sneakers for college students who do a lot of walking?

Some of the best sneakers I've bought are from Nike and Adidas. They are casual enough that I want to walk around in them on campus, not just at the gym and super comfortable. They can be a little pricey, but make sure to browse clearance and sales or check them out on Amazon.
I think it's best to buy something that is comfortable, you know you will actually wear, and that is of good quality. You don't want to snag the best "deal" only to never wear the sneakers because you actually don't like how they look. Try shopping around local outlets or stores like Nordstrom Rack for discounted sneakers, also try looking through local Facebook pages for students selling barely used/never used sneakers for very low prices.
If you need affordable sneakers, check out Amazon and Target. However, I think that it's smarter to splurge more on one amazing pair of sneakers that will last you a while than cheap ones you will have to keep replacing. I love Adidas, personally, and if you are a size 8 or below you can usually buy the biggest size in the kid's section for less money!
I don't know about the affordable piece, because you tend to get what you pay for in terms of show quality, but I recently discovered a website called Orthotic Shop that aggregates really comfortable shoes from different brands. I had a problem this summer with not being able to find cute shoes that would let me feel comfortable while walking many miles a day/week, and I found the perfect pair on this website. I had to pay about $70 for them, but I really found it to be true that you get what you pay for, so it is usually worth it to save up to get a really high quality pair of shoes than to buy cheap ones that may fall apart quickly.
